Personal Profile

Vasiliki Mollaki is a Geneticist and Ethics Expert.

She has been occupied as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute of Biomedical Research of the Academy of Athens, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the National Centre of Scientific Research "Demokritos" in Athens, in research projects investigating the genetic basis of human disease.

Since 2011, she has prepared numerous Reports and Advisory Documents to the National Commission for Bioethics & Technoethics in Greece.

She has also been appointed as an independent Ethics Expert to the European Commission since 2016, and hence, she has participated in more than 60 ethics screenings, assessments and ethics checks Panels, and Chaired 14 of them. She has served as an Ethics Advisor to EU-funded projects.

As an adjunct Professor, she teaches Ethics at the International Hellenic University (since 2017), and the Open University of Cyprus (since 2021).
